The Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the confidential
financial and non-directory information on a student account. The Office of
Student Financial Aid requires that a student complete an
authorization to release information form
(1 page PDF) before releasing protected information to anyone other
than the student. If authorized, parents/guardians may receive student information
over the phone or in person. This authorization does not allow a parent/guardian to
set up online IDs, accept/decline financial aid, or view the student's financial aid
information in Enroll & Pay. Online IDs are provided to students only and should
not be shared with others. This form is also available on our
Forms and Information Sheets
page, and paper copies are available from the Bursar's Office.
